The new TPI 2 Way
Adjustable Centerstand for the KLR 650. Choose the setting you need from
stock height to 1.25’’ lowered. We also know that the brand and style
of tires can have a height effect as well.
If you make a suspension change with the new TPI Centerstand, just add or remove the 1.25’’ adjusting spacers.
The new stand has our superior Torque Arm which makes
it very easy to lift your bike by using your body weight. Has dual return springs. Fits all
years. Will clear the 08-up side stand spring. Comes with all required
mounting hardware. Because the KLR side stand has very little outward angle, by the way Kawasaki really should fix this problem, the side stand must be down to operate the TPI Adjustable Center Stand. Once center stand is down the side stand can come back up. Just remember to lower it again before raising center stand. After a couple of times it will come natural to you.
NOTE: The TPI Center Stand was designed to fit stock diameter tires and with or without lowered links. Larger diameter tires such as Knobbies may effect the distance tires are raised when Center stand is used. Knobbies or larger diameter tires may not lift completely off the ground. But spinning by hand should not be an issue unless you put unusually large tires on bike. Also be sure that your fork tubes are properly inserted into the upper tripple tree. Tubes should rise above top tree 10mm using stock tires and 1/2 of the size of your lowering link. For example, if you install 1.5” lowering links, raise your fork tubes 3/4”, 2” lowering links, raise tubes 1”, and so forth.
